Course outline
This webinar explores how fostering a strong sense of belonging can be a powerful driver of improvement. Drawing on research and practice, the session will examine the link between belonging, outcomes, wellbeing, attendance, and engagement. It will support leaders and practitioners to move beyond standalone initiatives, embedding belonging into the culture, systems, and everyday experiences to create environments where all members of the community feel valued, connected, and able to succeed.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the relationship between belonging and key improvement priorities, including attainment, attendance, and wellbeing
- Recognise how culture, policies, and practices can either promote or hinder a sense of belonging
- Identify practical strategies to embed belonging as a sustained, organisational approach to improvement
