Course outline:

This seminar explores how conscious and unconscious biases can influence decision-making, relationships, and outcomes within educational settings. It will examine how perceptions shaped by race, ethnicity, and cultural background can impact areas such as behaviour management, assessment, safeguarding, and pupil experience. Through reflection and practical examples, the session will support educators to recognise bias in themselves and their systems, and to take informed steps towards more equitable and culturally responsive practice.
