Course outline

There is a critical connection and intersection between Mental Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion. This webinar will explore this connection and discuss how systemic inequities, discrimination, and identity factors such as race, gender, and sexuality impact mental health outcomes. Through an intersectional lens, we will provide practical strategies to foster inclusive environments that promote mental well-being for all.

Training topics will include:

  • How different identities intersect with mental health and wellbeing
  • Cultural sensitivity, inequities in mental health and stigma
  • The importance of belonging in achieving wellbeing
  • Examples of groups/situations to look out for: best practice and advocacy.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • To recognise how diverse identities intersect with mental health challenges.
  • To identify barriers to mental health access faced by underrepresented groups.
  • How to promote and implement inclusive strategies to support mental health in your organisation.
