Inclusion forum

Three times a year, IELA members can join a free-of-charge professionals’ forum. This is an opportunity to network, share best practices, ask questions and support each other in our EDI work. The forums usually have a set topic with time for discussion and collaboration.

CPD programme

Our CPD programme encompasses a range of delivery formats, including webinars, interactive seminars and day conferences. We also offer accredited Inclusion Lead training via BSA Group. The programme covers a range of topics which are relevant to all individuals with an interest in EDI regardless of role or sector. We source a variety of high-quality speakers with a wealth of lived and professional experience.

Resources

The IELA website is a hub for a plethora of EDI resources, some of which are free via the main page. The website is regularly updated with the latest advice and guidance.   Members have access to the Resources Hub which provides research reports, newsletters, blogs, articles, toolkits and templates.

Charter

Schools and organisations wanting to demonstrate their clear commitment to EDI work can sign up to our IELA employment charter. The charter can be used in email signatures, banners and websites. You can find out more here.(add hyperlink)

Bespoke training and consultancy

  • Bespoke training is available. An initial discussion is held to establish the areas of focus. This allows to design a tailored training session(s) for your staff and organisation.
  • EDI audit: Inclusion and diversity are pivotal to ensuring a sense of belonging in our communities. They are also key areas of focus during school inspections. The IELA EDI audit takes a holistic approach to EDI across your organisation and includes an audit of policies as well as initiatives related to EDI. This may include interviews with members of your community. Findings and recommendations are then compiled into a report.
  • We can also support members and advise on situations which require an external perspective and specific EDI expertise. Please email us at info@iela.org.uk to find out more.
